Landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our tour guide driver, before a transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Saigon. Along with Trong Mai Islet, Dinh Huong Rocks is also an epitome of Halong Bay. It has a great symbolic and spiritual value.
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cu Chi Tunnels that were central to a few of the war’s strategic operations, including the famous 1968 Tet Offensive. They served not only as living quarters, but as supply routes, hospitals and munitions dumps for thousands of guerilla fighters. See the various man-traps, bomb craters and other remnants of war that remain. Have lunch before we drive back to city and visit Independent Palace, Post Office, Notre Dame Catheral. Back to hotel. Overnight in Saigon.
Depart from Saigon, we drive via Mekong Delta paddle fields. En-route, stop for visit Pineapple Workshop and learn how pineapple products are made here while enjoying sample pineapple jam and candies. Next, stop by or stroll along the way where local family craftsmen workshops make straw bags, boats, incense and mush- rooms… You will be welcome by very friendly people and get to explore life as it has traditionally been. Arrive at Thien Ho market and get on boat. Get off bus at this Mekong town market and walk around to take a look at local lifestyle while stretching your body a bit before getting on a boat to tour around the area. While boating, stop by some places to visit a fish farm, a rice process factory and a plantation. Lunch at local house, then drive back to Saigon. En-route, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist Temple in the Delta featuring a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese and Cambodian architectural styles. This is the most important venues of Meditation Buddhism Discipline in Mekong Delta. Overnight in Saigon.
Breakfast at hotel. You will have free time for shopping. Overnight in Saigon. There is a blend of conventional cafes serving Vietnamese coffee and western cafes that serve espresso coffee as well. When in Saigon you can give it a try to sip the traditional Vietnamese coffee.“I’m not a foodie but I know what I like.” Likewise your salivary glands will go haywire when in Vietnam by having the delicious food.
