Travellers can enjoy rapid rivers, a thriving lush jungle and the scenic, imposing, dormant volcano. Visit Lake Arenal or hike to La Fortuna Waterfall for a bit of white water rafting or zipline trek. A small town in north west of Costa Rica, Monteverde is most popular for its biodiverse forests, particularly the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This protected forest reserve is home to an abundance of exotic wildlife from colourful birds and scaly reptiles to majestic mammals like jaguars; making it the ideal places for animal enthusiasts and nature lovers to visit! While at Monteverde, you can partake in ziplining adventures, night tours, horseback riding, canyoning tours, hanging bridges or hike to the Santa Elena Reserve or the Monteverde Orchid Garden.
